Fri 13 Oct 1:27 PM.   A male 26 of 401 Rt. 22 was arrested for shoplifting $4.16 worth of items at 7-11. 568 Rt. 22 E.

Sat 14 Oct 2:19 AM.  A male 40 of 1156 Myrtle Ave., Plfd. was arrested for being a disorderly person at Mi Mundo Latino Bar, 375 Somerset St. He was fighting with the bar security guards.

Sat 14 Oct 1:30 PM.   A female 33 of 21 Asbury St., Summit was arrested for warrants totaling $4,550.00.

Tues 17 Oct 12:22 PM.   An unlocked vehicle was burglarized while parked in the lot of Landmark Pharmacy, 345 Somerset St. Items worth $60.00 were stolen.

Wed 18 Oct 5:55 PM.   A leaf blower was stolen from a residence on Duer St. (no address in the police report.)

Mon 2 Oct 1:28 PM.   A burglary to a vehicle on Willow Ave. was reported.  Several items were stolen. No address in the report.

Mon 2 Oct 6:57 PM.   A male 26 of 401 Rt 22 W was arrested at his home on a $1,250.00 warrant.

Tue 3 Oct 10:36 PM.   A female 21 of 164 Greenbrook Rd was arrested at her home on a $2,000.00 Warrant when police were called for a dispute at the residence.

Wed 4 Oct 9:00 AM.   A female went to headquarters and reported her cellphone was stolen at the Goodwill store Rt 22 W & Maple Ave.

Wed 4 Oct 12:00 PM.   A resident of the area of Glenside Pl & Greenbrook Rd reported a fraud in the amount of $3,000.00. No other information in the report.

Wed 4 Oct 8:00 PM.   A resident of 453 Catalpa Ave. reported suspicious activity. A person claiming to be an ADT salesperson, collected personal information from the victim and left the scene.

Thur 5 Oct 9:28 AM. VIP Honda 700 Rt 22 E reported a vehicle stolen from the lot. It is believed the vehicle was stolen 18 August 2017.

Fri 6 Oct 9:47 PM.   A female 25 of 52 Leeds Dr., S Plainfield was arrested at Harrison Ave. & Rt.22 E during a vehicle stop for illegal possession of prescription drugs.

Sat 7 Oct 5:00 AM.   A female 31 of 115 Buchanan Ave., Parkin was arrested at Greenbrook Rd & Rock Ave. during a vehicle accident for DWI.

Sat 7 Oct 2:43 PM.   A burglary to a vehicle at 87 Grove St was reported. Items worth about $865.00 were stolen.

Sun 8 Oct 4:44 PM.  A resident of 161 Brook Ave. reported her vehicle had been stolen

Sun 8 Oct 7:10 PM.  A male 42 of 18 Kenmur Ave., Morristown was arrested at Mountain Ave. & Somerset St. during a vehicle stop for a $5,000.00 warrant out of Dover.

Wed 20 Sept 6:52 PM.   A burglary to a vehicle was reported at 441 Mountain Ave. Stolen was a wallet containing identification & credit cards.

Thur 21 Sept 2:10 AM.   A female 37 of 268 Steiner Pl. was arrested at  Myrtle & Washington Ave. when she was recognized as a person with an active warrant.

Thur 21 Sept 7:45 PM.   A male 28 of 66 Willow Ave. was arrested at Magnolia & Rockview Ave. during a vehicle stop on a North Plainfield warrant.

Thur 21 Sept 9:53 PM.   A male 22 of 164 Mountain Ave. was arrested at Belmont & Mountain Ave. during a vehicle stop for possession of marijuana.

No time or date on the report.   A resident of 570 Rockview Ave. reported a check he sent to PSE&G was changed and cashed by an unknown person.

Fri 22 Sept  4:38 PM.   A theft of documents and $11.00 was reported stolen at 121 Watchung Ave.

Sat 23 Sept 11:00 PM.   A brick was thrown through the window of a business at 68 Watchung Ave.

Sun 24 Sept 6:17 AM.   A female 32 of 159 Knickabocker Ave., Stamford, CT was arrested at Howard Johnsons, 1025 Rt 22 W, for Harassment. While she was sleeping a male she was sharing the room with made an unwanted sexual advance toward her.

Mon 25 Sept 4:06 PM.   3 juveniles caused damage to a vehicle by running on top of the vehicle while making a video of it. They then fled the scene.

Tues 26 Sept 6:05 AM.   A burglary to an unsecured vehicle was reported in the area of Cedar St. & Jefferson Ave. Items worth $398.00 were stolen.

Wed 27 Sept. 10:14.  The theft of a rear door from a vehicle at North Plainfield Nissan, 595 Rt. 22 W, was reported. The theft took place during the evening hours.

Wed 27 Sept 12:04 PM.   A report of a burglary to a locked vehicle  at 40 Grove St .was reported. Stolen was a pair of Ray Ban sun glasses.

Wed 27 Sept 10:43 PM.   A male 28 of 452 4th St., Plfd. was arrested at Crosson Pl. & Malcolm Ave. for warrants toting $1,540.00.

Thur 28 Sept 7:32 AM.   A vehicle at 43 Sycamore Ave. was burglarized. Items worth $45.00 were stolen.

Thur 28 Sept 8:00 AM.   A burglary was reported, to a locked vehicle at 63 Somerset St. Stolen were credit cards, the victim’s father’s pay stubs, and an insurance card.

Fri 29 Sept 3:21 AM.   A vehicle was reported stolen from the front of 274 Steiner Pl.

Sat 30 Sept 9:48 PM.   The resident of 27 Myrtle Ave. detained 2 males she found in her rear yard until police arrived. One of the males was arrested on an active warrant, the other was released. They said they were looking for a party.

Sun 1 Oct 1:37 AM.   A resident of 138 Delacy Ave  reported a burglary to her vehicle. Items worth $120.00 were stolen.

Sun 1 Oct 8:27 PM.   A male 29 of 450 West End Ave. was arrested at 914 Rt 22 E during a vehicle stop for possession of marijuana.

No time or date on the report.  A resident of Glen Ct reports damage to a window on the residence.  It appears the damage was caused by a BB.

Thurs 14 Sept 4:48 PM.   3 black males, in their 20s in a black Nissan Altima NJ H57-JER took a package from the porch of 706 Warfield Rd. A neighbor confronted them. They returned the package and fled west on Warfield Rd

Fri 15 Sept 6:55 AM.   A resident of 86 Park Pl reported a burglary. Entry was made through a first floor window. The police located the suspect, a 37 year old male from 511 W 3rd St., Plfd., in the apartment. He was taken to the Somerset County Jail.

Fri 15 Sept 8:00 AM.    A burglary was reported at 401 Rt. 22 W. Entry was gained through a side window. $200.00 was stolen from a filing cabinet.

Fri 15 Sept 10:06 PM.   A burglary was reported at Cypress Gardens 1165 Rt. 22. Entry was gained through a window. The screen had been cut. Stolen were $400.00 & a laptop computer worth $1,400.00. This burglary took place between 7 & 10 PM 9/15.

Fri 15 Sept 11:13 PM.   A vehicle burglary in the area of 134 Watchung Ave was reported. A window was broken and a purse containing credit cards, identification & $400.00 were stolen.

Sat 16 Sept 4:30 AM.   A burglary to an unlocked vehicle was reported at 1165 Rt 22 W, Cypress Gardens. Stolen was $235.00

Sat 16 Sept 8:11 AM.   A burglary to a business on Somerset St (no address in the report) was reported. Stolen was a Samsung television & cash from the register.

Sun 17 Sept 12:00 AM.  An assault took place on Somerset St (no address listed) both people involved were told how to file a complaint.

Sun 17 Sept 3:17 AM. A resident of the 100 block of Greenbrook Rd reported a burglary to his residence. Stolen were $6,000.00 cash and $4,500.00 in jewelry.

Sun 17 Sept 10:00 PM.   A patron of Aroogas Grill house and Sports Bar 1250, Rt. 22 E., left the restaurant without paying.

Mon 18 Sept 1:08 AM.   A male 34 of 348 Rock Ave, Piscataway was arrested at Grandview Av & Somerset St for DWI.

Mon 18 Sept 11:15 AM.   A report of illegal dumping at the rear of 407 Somerset St was made.

Mon 18 Sept 11:35 PM.   A resident of Brook Ave (no address in the report) arrived home to find a male in her rear yard. An investigation revealed this male attempted to burglarize the house and a vehicle. He fled the scene when confronted by the female. He is described as Hispanic, 6″, mustache wearing a black shirt and dark pants.

Sun 3 Sept 2:50 PM.   A resident of 268 Rock Ave. reported a burglary to her home. The front  & rear doors were forced open & the bedroom had been ransacked. Nothing appears to have been stolen.

Mon 4 Sept 7:15 AM.   A resident of 23 Summit Ave. reported $1,000.00 damage to  a fence.

Mon 4 Sept 5:35 PM.   A  female 36 of 1011 W. 6th St., Plfd. was arrested for hindering apprehension at Chatham& Somerset St  when she was stopped for consuming an alcoholic beverage in public.  She gave the police false identification.

Wed 6 Sept 11:44 AM.   A male 30 of 17 Summit Ave. was arrested at Fairview & Watchung Ave. for contempt of court.

Tues 12 Septb11:01 AM.   Patio furniture was stolen from a resident of  Greenbrook Gardens, 1275 Rock Ave.  The value of the theft is $225.00.

Tues 12 Sept 8:48 PM.   A television was stolen in a burglary to 97 Somerset St.

Wed 13 Sept 6:35 PM.   A male 34 of 283 Duer St was arrested during a vehicle stop at Duer St. & the boro line for contempt of court.

Wed 13 Sept 9:44 PM.   A male 19 of 25 Washington Ave. was arrested at 25 Washington Ave. for possession of marijuana & drug paraphernalia.

Thur 14 Sept 9:48 AM.   A male 60 of 197 LaGrande Ave., Fanwood  was arrested at municipal court for DWI.

Mon 28 Aug 2:15 AM.   A vehicle was vandalized while parked at Howard Johnson Motel, 1025 Rt. 22 W.  Scratches were found on both sides of the car and 4 tires were slashed. The suspect is described as a black female in her 30s, 5’5″, wearing a T-shirt, gray pants and black slippers.  Damage in the amount of $3,200.00 was done to the car.

Wed 30 Aug 1:46 PM.   A male 67 of 91 Mercer Ave. was arrested at Greenbrook Rd & Harrison Ave. for disorderly conduct.  He was a passenger in a vehicle involved in an accident.  He was intoxicated and became loud & abusive to those at the scene.

Wed 30 Aug 8:48 PM.   A burglary to an unlocked vehicle was reported at 1165 Rt 22 W. Stolen were documents to be used for an application for citizenship. The incident took place on 8/14.

Thur 31 Aug 7:30 AM.   Vandalism was reported at North Dr & Rt 22 W.  A portable toilet was knocked over.

Tues 26 July 9:30 AM.   A burglary to a home on Harrison Av was reported.  A Sony Playstation 4 & video games were stolen from a bedroom between 9:30 AM & 2:30 PM. No point of entry in the police report.

Wed 23 Aug 1:37 PM.   A victim was robbed of a gold necklace at Brook Av & Elm Pl.  No other information in the police report.

Wed 23 Aug 7:08 PM.   A 2001 Jaguar ST was stolen from the from the Somerset Auto Spa, 412 Somerset St., after it had been washed.  The thieves are described as 2 black males. The value of the car is $35,000.00

Thur 24 Aug 12:00 AM.   A boys 20″ Mongoose bicycle was stolen from 41 Harmony St.

Thur 24 Aug 12:02 PM.   The police responded to a stolen vehicle Lojack alert in  the area of 234 Jefferson Av.  The vehicle, a 2009 Acura TL that was stolen from Little Falls, was recovered.

Thur 24 Aug 2:00 PM.   A bicycle was stolen from the rear of 415 Somerset St between 10:00 PM 8/23 and today.

Thur 24 Aug 10:30 AM.   A burglary to a vehicle in a driveway on Richard Way was reported.  Stolen was about $5.00

Fri 25 Aug 11:03 AM.   A package was reported stolen from the front steps of a residence on Willow Av.  No address listed in the report.

Fri 25 Aug 10:47 PM.   A male 53 of 1341 S 2nd St., Plfd was arrested at Clinton Av & Warfield Rd during a vehicle stop for possession of drug paraphernalia

Sun 27 Aug 4:49 AM.   A male 40 of 54 Grove St was arrested at Duer St & Linden Ave for DWI following a vehicle crash.

Sun 27 Aug 11:53 PM.   A male 19 of 135 Strawberry Hill Av., Woodbridge was arrested at Cypress Gardens, 1165 Rt. 22 W, for possession of marijuana.

Wed 16 Aug 5:21 PM.   A bicycle was reported stolen from the front of Fine Fare, 100 Somerset St.

Thur 17 Aug 7:40 PM.   A resident of 450 Little Pl. reported a burglary to his apartment. Entry was gained by cutting a screen on a bedroom window.  This took place between 7:40 & 10:00 PM. Stolen were a safe, table, and a gold chain.

Fri 18 Aug 12:00 AM.   A burglary to a vehicle  parked in the lot of Aroogas, 1258 Rt. 22 E, was reported.  The drivers side window was broken. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Fri 18 Aug 4:30 PM.   A theft by deception, costing $7,876.00, was reported by a resident of 401 Rt 22 W.  No details of what the deception involved were listed in the police report.

Fri 18 Aug 8:21 PM.   A resident of Coddington Ave. reported a black male in his 20’s threw eggs at his house.

Sat 19 Aug 6:49 PM.   A male 48 of 426 Watchung Ave., Plfd was arrested at Manning & Watchung Ave. during a bicycle violation for possession of a hypodermic syringe.

Sun 20 Aug 10:49 AM.   A resident of 351 North Drive reported her apartment had been burglarized while she was on vacation between 8/14 & 8/20. Entry was gained through a bedroom window. $20.00 is missing.

Sun 20 Aug 2:24 PM.   A male 21 of 202 Cedar St.,  S. Bound Brook was arrested at Watchung Ave. & the boro line during a vehicle stop for possession of marijuana.

Sun 20 Aug 6:02 PM.   A female 46 of 105 W. Frances St., Iselin along with another female were arrested at Pearl & Warren St for possession of marijuana & hindering apprehension.

Sun 20 Aug 7:45 PM.   An assault and attempted robbery of a female at Sycamore & Willow Ave. was reported. A Hispanic male on a bicycle attempted to snatch her satchel. She fought him off and he fled. She was punched in the face but refused medical attention. The actor was about 5.9, in his 20’s, wearing a white T-shirt & black pants. He fled North on Sycamore Ave.

Mon 21 Aug 3:58 PM.   The victim reported their 2017 Honda valued at $25,000.00 was stolen from 140 Somerset St.

Tues 22 Aug 1:05 AM.   A male 24 of 104 Summit Ave. was arrested for burglary and was released with a court date.  No information in the report concerning the burglary.

Tues 22 Aug 2:45 AM.   A vehicle was reported stolen from the Red Tower II, 864 Rt. 22 E.  The vehicle, a Lexus GS3, was left running.

Tues 22 Aug 7:40 AM.   A window was reported broken at Desnoyers, 359 Somerset St. The value of the window is $1,300.00.

Tues 22 Aug 7:48 AM.   A vehicle was burglarized at the Mountainview Garden Apts. , 470 West End Ave.  Stolen was the victims wallet & $20.00

Tues 22 Aug 8:01 AM.   A burglary to a vehicle was reported.  Items valued at about $2,800.00 were stolen.  No location of this burglary listed in the report.

Wed 23 Aug time unknown.   A male 52 of 9 Wiley Ave., Plfd. was arrested at Greenbrook Rd. & Rockview Terr. for possess of drug paraphernalia.

Mon 7 Aug 2:44 AM.   An attempted burglary to a business at 391-B Somerset St (no business name in the police report). There were 3 actors involved in this incident causing $100.00 in damage to a store window.

Mon 7 Aug 7:00 AM.   A vehicle at 11 Summit Ave had the front right tire punctured.

Tue 8 Aug 4:54 PM.   An unknown person attempted to purchase items with a fake credit card. The suspect fled the scene leaving behind a Pennsylvania drivers license.

Tue 8 Aug 9:34 PM.   A 32 year old female reported someone opened several fraudulent accounts in her name,charging $5,000.00. the victim suspects her mother.

Fri 11 Aug 12:15 AM.   An apartment at 301 Maple Ave was burglarized. Entry was gained through a rear door. The burglar put the chain lock on the front door so as not to be surprised if the resident came home. Stolen was a $500.00 Pandora bracelet and a gold chain with a Saint Lazarus medal on it valued at $300.00.

Fri 11 Aug 7:21 AM.   A burglary to a vehicle at 24 Howard St was reported.  Tools worth about $1,140.00 were stolen.

Fri 11 Aug 9:34 AM.   A male 35 of 686 Front St was arrested at 15 Duer St for warrants totaling $850.00. During the arrest 7 wax folds of heroin were located on his person.

Fri 11 Aug 10:20 PM.   A female 24 of 1787 W 5th St., Piscataway was arrested at Watchung Ave & the boro line, during a motor vehicle stop, for an active warrant out of Piscataway.

Sat 12 Aug 10:37 AM.   A male 41 of 1165 Rt 22, N. Plfd. was arrested at Rock Ave & the boro line for warrants totaling $2,650.00

Sun 13 Aug 4:11 AM.   A male 26 of 20 Howard St was arrested at home for assault.

Mon 14 Aug 11:31 AM.   A resident of 24 Howard St reported her lawn mower was stolen from the back yard.

Mon 14 Aug 11:02 PM.   A male 23 of 26 Chrome Ave, Carteret was arrested at Summit & Watchung Ave for possession of drugs, cocaine with the intention to distribute.

Thurs 27 July 7:36 PM.   A burglary to a vehicle at 96 Willow Ave was reported. Items worth $2,300.00 were stolen.

Fri 28 July 12:32 AM.   A female 36 of 70 Jackcon Ave was arrested at Fairview Ave & Somerset St. during a pedestrian stop on a warrant out of Somerville.

Fri 28 July 5:12 PM.   A male 34 of 1110 Sheridan Ave, Elizabeth was arrested at Brook Ave & Pearl St. on a domestic violence assault incident.

Sat 29 July 12:00 AM.   A burglary to a vehicle on Willow Ave (no address in the report) was reported. $15.00 was stolen.

Say 29 July 8:00 AM.  A resident of Norwood Ave (no address in the report) reported both left side tires were slashed on a vehicle that was parked in their driveway. The damage is estimated at $300.00

Sat 29 July 1:05 AM.   A male 38 of 1349 E 7th St., Plfd. was arrested at Linden Ave & Somerset St during a pedestrian stop on a $9,006.00 warrant out of the Somerset County Sheriffs Dept.

Sat 29 July2:42 AM.   A male 52 of 318 W 7th St. Plfd was arrested at Geraud & Willow Ave for possession of burglary tools. The suspect was first observed by police walking into driveways on Tappan Ave when he saw the police. He fled and was apprehended after a foot chase.

Sun 30 July 1:27 AM.   A male 28 of 550 Forest Rd., Scotch Plains was arrested at Grove St. & Lincoln Pl, during a vehicle stop, for DWI.

Tues 1 Aug 11:15 AM.   2 bicyclesmvalued at $100.00 were stolen from the area of Mountain Ave & Verdon St.

Wed 2 Aug 7:50 AM.   A vehicle was burglarized on Manning Ave (no address in report). Stolen were 3 Samsung cell phones valued at $450.00 and $20.00.

Fri 21 July 4:12 Pm.   A male 35 of 832 N. Forge Rd., Palmyra, PA was arrested at Harmony & Somerset St for lewdness when he was observed masturbating in public.

Sat 22 July 7:15 PM.   A resident & 2 friends were walking home when the resident was assaulted by a black male that was driving in the area of Brook & Norwood Av. The driver exited his vehicle and struck the victim with a tire iron. The vehicle is described as a black Ford sedan. The victim was transported for medical attention.

Sun 23 July 9:00 AM.   A burglary to an unlocked vehicle at Grove St & Park Pl was reported. A wallet containing items worth $43.00 was stolen.

Sun 23 July 6:00 PM.   A resident of Ayres Av reported a phone scam. She sent $1,100.00 worth of iTune cards to a person that said her computer had been compromised and she needed to pay to have it repaired.

Mon 24 July 12:00 PM.   A male 29 of 710 Central Av., Plfd. was arrested on Somerset St. for a $1,000.00 warrant.

Tues 25 July 12:00 AM.   The victim reported while shopping at Costco someone stole her wallet from her shopping cart. The wallet was recovered by Costco management minus $600.00

Mon 17 July 10:47 AM.   A male 25 of 327 Pulaski St Dunellen was arrested at Rt.22 E. during a vehicle stop for possession of marijuana.

Mon 17 July 8:00 PM.    A burglary to a vehicle was reported at 468 West End Av. A wallet containing $200.00 and credit cards were stolen from the owner’s purse.

Mon 17 July 8:00 PM.   A burglary to a vehicle at 109 Willow Av was reported. Access was gained by breaking a window. Items & cash totaling $249.99 were stolen. Estimated damage is $200.00.

Tues 18 July 4:45 AM.   A burglary to a vehicle was reported in the driveway of 107 Myrtle Av. Entry was gained by breaking a window. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Tues 18 July 5:08 AM.   A burglary to a vehicle was reported on Locust Pl. Entry was gained by breaking a window. Part of the residents wallet was stolen.

Tues 18 July 6:20 AM.   A burglary to a vehicle at Jackson & Watchung Av was reported. The owner reports there were items missing from the vehicle.

Tues 18 July 9:55 AM.   A vehicle at 92 Jackson Av was reported burglarized. Items worth $50.00 were stolen.

Tues 18 July 10:24 AM.  A vehicle at 111 Rockview Av was reported burglarized. Items worth $90.00 were stolen.

Fri 30 June 12:25 AM.   A resident of Myrtle Ave. (no address in the report) reports someone observed a tall thin male walking from his property with his lawnmower. The lawn mower was later recovered in Plainfield. The thief left a bicycle on the residents property.

Fri 30 June 3:30 AM.    A victim reported an assault and attempted robbery. He was walking in the area of Jackson Ave. & Somerset St. when someone struck him in the face from behind.  He fell to the ground and was told by the assailant to give him his money. The victim was then kicked and the assailant fled.  No money was taken.

Fri 30 June 10:55 AM.   A resident of 4 Howard St. found her vehicle window smashed. She believes it was done on purpose.

She deposited the check and found it was fraudulent. When the person from Facebook did not receive the funds, he started threatening the victim and he told her knew where she lived.

Wed 17 May 8:36 PM.   A male 31 of  of 262 Crows Mill Rd., Keasby was arrested at Race St. & Watchung Ave., after being stopped for a pedestrian violation for hindering apprehension. He gave false identification information to a police officer to avoid being arrested for an active warrant.

Wed 17 May 11:24 PM.   A male 22 of 1 Primrose Way, Warren was arrested at West End Ave. & Willow Ave. for possession of marijuana during the investigation of a bicycle violation.

Thur 18 May 5:04 PM.   A male 54 of 15 Steiner Pl. was arrested at Pearl St. & Watchung Ave. after being recognized as a person having an active $1,000.00 warrant.

Thur 18 May 11:12 PM.   A male 31 of 927 W 6th St., Plfd. was arrested on Somerset St. when it was found he had a total of  $1,630.00 in active warrants.

Fri 19 May 7:01 AM.    A burglary to a vehicle was reported at 29 Vine St. Stolen was the victim’s wallet.

Fri 19 May 8:00 AM.   A burglary to a vehicle in the area of Regent St & Watchung Ave. was reported. Stolen were items valued at about $325.00.

Fri 19 May 1:23 PM.    A thief was observed stealing a 4 gallon can full of gas worth about $30.00 in the area of Mountain Ave. & Richard Way. The area was checked with negative results.

Sat 20 May 12:00 AM.   4 batteries worth $550.00 were stolen from truck parked at Ocean Gallery II, 980 Rt. 22 E.

20 May 10:28 PM.   A male 28 of 1419 Myrtle Ave., Plfd was arrested at Prospect Pl. & Washington Ave. on a $1,000.00 warrant.

Sun 21 May 12:00 AM.   An assault took place Brook Ave. & Sanford Ave. The male victim was struck on the head by a black male who then fled the scene on a bicycle toward Plfd.

Sun 21 May 12:46 AM.   A resident of 49 Craig Pl. reported a male in her back yard wearing a red sweat shirt. The police checked the area and found a person fitting the description. The subject was identified and sent on his way.

Wed 24 May 12:35 PM.  A male 60 of 151 Knollcroft Rd., Lyons was arrested at Somerset St & the boro line during a vehicle stop on a $1,675.00 warrant.

Wed 24 May 5:40 PM.   A female 43 of 1167 Martine Ave., Scotch Plains was arrested at Craig Pl. & Duer St. for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mon 15 May 7:24 PM.   3 individuals shoplifted $43.23 worth of merchandise from Costco 1290 Rt. 22 E, then fled the scene.

Tue 16 May 12:41 PM.   A male 48 was arrested at Howard Johnson’s, 1025 Rt. 22 W., on warrants totaling $12,450.00.

Tue 16 May 2:26 PM.   3 batteries were stolen from a flat bed truck at Astro Rents, 933 Rt. 22 W. Total value of the theft was about $600.00.

Thur 18 May 6:00 AM.   An unlocked vehicle was burglarized at 4 Coddington Ave. This took place between 5/17 10:00 PM & 6:00 AM 5/18.  Nothing appears to have been stolen.

Fri 19 May 12:11 AM.   A victim was robbed and assaulted in the area of Westervelt Ave. & Jackson Ave. by 2 males that demanded cash.  The victim struggled with the 2 males who then fled the scene. One of the suspects was apprehended shortly after this event and was positively identified by the victim.  The suspect is being held at the Somerset County Jail.

Sat 6 May 12:00 AM.    An elderly resident was asked to deposit a check from an unknown person, into his account.  The victim then withdrew a large amount and placed it in the strangers account.  The victim found out that the check was fraudulent.

Tue 18 April 12:28 AM.   A male 26 of 282 Duer St. was arrested for DWI at Duer St. & Gavin Pl. after he was involved in an accident that caused his vehicle overturn.

Wed 19 April 7:11 AM.   A burglary to a vehicle on Westervelt Ave. was reported. A window was smashed and a purse containing $10.00 was stolen.

Wed 19 April 2:04 PM.   The victim reports her 2015 Ford Focus stolen from the area of Gavin & Steiner Pl.  She parked the vehicle, when she returned 2 hours later the vehicle was gone.

Thur 20 April 10:48 PM.   A male 57 of 1159 W 7th St., Plfd. was arrested for shoplifting $148.58 worth of candy at QuickChek, 395 Somerset St.

Fri 21 April 3:00 AM.   A QuickChek employee reported a heavily tattooed Hispanic male came into the store to return a broken USB cable. When he was denied an exchange, he broke into the display rack and took a new one. He left the store prior to the arrival of police.

Fri 7 April 4:48 PM.   A male 55 of 19 Chatham St. was arrested at Washington Ave.  & the boro line during a pedestrian violation for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Thur 13 April 6:56 PM.   The victim reports he was approached by a black male in his 20’s at the Wells Fargo Bank, 274 Somerset St.  The victim was asked to deposit a $380.00 check into his account and give the stranger $300.00 in cash.  The victim did this and found later the check not valid.

Fri 14 April 10:54 AM.   A report  of suspicious activity was received from the area of 413 Richard Way.  A young black male abandoned a vehicle in the area and ran east. The police found that the vehicle was taken as proceeds of a residential burglary in Fanwood earlier this date.  Fanwood was notified.

Fri 14 April 4:00 PM.   A male 19 of 374 Harold Ave. was arrested at home for the theft of a package containing a Cannon Camera lens worth $88.00.

Sat 15 April 5:49 PM.   The victim reports his unlocked vehicle that had the key in the ignition and was running was stolen from 1329 Rock Ave.  The 2008 Ford E350 was worth $8,500.00.

Sat 15 April 8:23 AM.   A burglary to a vehicle at 167 Duer St. was reported.  The burglary took place between 4/14 10:00 PM & 4/15  8:00 AM.

Sat 15 April 8:03 PM.   A male 25 of 162 Jones Ave., New Brunswick was arrested at Watchung Ave. & the boro line during the investigation of a pedestrian violation for hindering apprehension.

Sun 16 April 8:30 AM.   A burglary to a vehicle parked in the driveway of 531 Ayres Ave. was reported.  Entry was gained by breaking a front right window.  $250.00 was stolen. The cost of repair is $300.00.

Fri 7 April 7:00 PM.   A male 36 of 124 Westervelt Ave. was robbed at gunpoint as he attempted to enter his home by 2 black males that demanded money and stole his cell phone.

Fri 7 April 10:11 PM.   A male 20 of 29 Cowperthwaite Pl., Westfield was robbed by 5 Hispanic males at Mountain & Watchung Av.  Stolen was an iPhone 5 and $200.00 in cash. No weapon was displayed and the victim received minor abrasions but refused medical attention.

Sat 8 April 8:07 AM.   A vehicle burglary was reported at 118 Willow Ave.  The right rear window was broken.  It is unknown at this time if anything was stolen.

Sat 8 April 8:49 AM.  A resident of 1275 Rock Ave. reported a burglary of $1,200.00 worth of tools from his vehicle.

Sat 8 April 3:00 PM.  A male shoplifted $599.88 worth of merchandise from Costco, 1290 Rt. 22 E.  He presented a counterfeit receipt to the checker at the door.

Sun 9 April 2:30 AM.   The victim was involved in a strong armed robbery at 23 Geraud Ave. The suspect was a tall black male wearing black clothing.

Sun 9 April 9:00 AM.   An unlocked vehicle was burglarized at 64 Harrison Ave.  A knife was stolen. This happened between 9 AM & 9 PM.

Sun 9 April 6:15 PM.   A male 46 of 520 Central Ave., Plfd. was arrested on Greenbrook Rd. for possession of CDS.

Sun 9 April 10:53 PM.   A male 24 of 78 Lincoln Ave., Newark was arrested during an investigation of a disorderly person at the Red Carpet Deli on Watchung Ave. possession of Marijuana and CDS.

Mon 10 April 12:00 PM.   A theft of registration plates took place in the area of Rock Ave. & Rt 22 W.

Mon 10 April 12:30 PM.   The victim reports he was assaulted by a tall male in the parking lot of Tesoros Restaurant, 64 Somerset St.. The victim lost 2 teeth in the assault.

Mon 10 April 6:05 PM.  A shoplifting of a bottle of wine was reported at Star Liquors, 25 Greenbrook Rd.

Tues 11 April 12:55 PM.  The theft of a package from the front porch of 115 Duer St. containing a camera lens was reported. The theft was captured on the victims security camera.

Tues 11 April 7:47 PM.  A male 18 of 1300 Rt 22 was arrested on Clinton Ave. during the investigation of a motor vehicle violation for possession of marijuana.

Wed 12 April 12:02 AM.   Louis P Colon, Jr. 19 of 16 Washington Ave., was arrested when he was observed by a witness burglarizing a vehicle at 300 Maple Ave.  Colon was confronted by the vehicle owner and his brother. One of them were struck on the head with a blunt object by Colon who was then transported to the Somerset County Jail.

Wed 12 April 12:30 PM.   A package containing merchandise worth $116.00 was stolen from a home on W. Rockview Ave.

Wed 12 April 7:34 PM.  A resident of Duer St reported someone let the air out of the tires on her vehicle.

Thur 13 April 8:13 PM.  An employee of Landmark Pharmacy, 345 Somerset St., reported that someone was using their phone to photograph the interior of the store.  When the person was confronted they said they were photographing some of the medications, made a purchase and left the store.

Sat 1 April 12:10 PM.  A package containing an Xbox was stolen in the area of Grove St & Prospect Pl. The victim was able to locate the thief and retrieve the Xbox.

Sun 2 April 12:00 AM.   A resident of 79 Harrison Ave. reported 2 individuals came to her home an complained & threatened her about a vehicle parked across an access gate to the yard of the residence.

Sun 2 April 7:00 AM.  A burglary to a vehicle on Albert St was reported. Entry was gained by breaking a window. A purse was stolen and recovered on the victim’s property.

Sun 2 April 11:00 AM.   A burglary to a locked vehicle in the area of Cedar St. & Jefferson Ave. was reported. $60.00 was stolen from the vehicle.

Sun 2 April 4:00 PM.   An  iPhone 6 was stolen from a victim while she was shopping at Liberty Mart, 675 Somerset St. The victim had placed the phone on the counter and stepped away for a moment.

Mon 3 April 12:06 AM.  A vehicle at Grove St & Greenbrook Rd. was burglarized. The left side front and rear windows were smashed. Nothing was stolen from the vehicle.

Mon 3 April 7:36 AM.  A burglary to an unlocked vehicle on Rockview Ave. was reported. Nothing was stolen from the vehicle. (the report does not indicate if Rockview Ave. is in the central or west end of the boro.)

Mon 3 April 4:20 PM.  A fire was reported at 63 Mountain Ave. & 14 Whitewood Ave. The NP Fire Dept. extinguished the blaze.

Tue 4 April 3:35 AM.  A shoplifting of cigarettes was reported at Quick Check, 395 Somerset St. The thief fled prior to the arrival of police.

Tue 4 April 10:30 AM.  Damage to a video dispenser in the area of Rt. 22 E & Westervelt Ave. was reported. About $800.00 in damage was caused.

Mon 27 Mar 6:11 PM.   A vacant house at 444 Mountain Ave. was burglarized. The lock box containing the house key was broken. Once in the residence, the alarm system was disabled.

Tue 28 Mar 12:00 AM.   A resident of 91 Farragut Rd. reported someone attempted to enter her vehicle. The left front window area was damaged. It appeared a pry tool was used. Access was not gained.

Tue 28 Mar 7:32 PM.  The police arrested an armed intruder at a Walnut St. residence. This 33 year old male from Plfd. entered the home with a loaded  gun and told the residents he wanted drugs and money.  He was told there were no drugs in the house. The residents engaged in a physical altercation with the suspect, subdued him, and held him for the police. The suspect had to be transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries inflicted by the residents.

Sun 26 Mar 6:12 AM.   A vehicle was burglarized on Hidden Trail.  A rear window was broken and a tote bag was stolen.

Sun 26 Mar 7:55 AM. Ave.   A vehicle was burglarized on Dupont St.  during the evening hours. Nothing was reported stolen.

Sun 26 Mar 12:21 PM.   A vehicle on Harrison Ave. was burglarized during the evening hours.  $345.00 worth of items were stolen and $200.00 worth of damage was done to the vehicle.

Sun 26 Mar 3:00 PM.   A vehicle was reported burglarized at Orchard & Willow Ave.  Force was used to gain entry.  No items were taken from the vehicle.

Mon 27 Mar 1:06 AM.   A male 44 of 35 Evergreen Ave., Fords was arrested at Mountain & Watchung Ave. for DWI.  His blood alcohol content was .20%

Mon 27 Mar 9:36 AM.   A report of illegal dumping was made at the apartment complex at 1275 Rock Ave.

Wed 29 Mar 11:29 PM. A male 45 of 1011 W 5th. St., Plfd. was arrested at Howard Johnson’s, 1025 R.t 22 W, for possession of marijuana after being stopped for a parking violation.

Mon 20 Mar 6:00 PM.   A resident of 32 Harrison Ave. reported 2 tires on their vehicle were slashed. The white Toyota was parked in the yard of the residence. Damage is estimated at $300.00.

Tue 21 Mar 1:01 AM.   A male 19 of 231 Edpas Rd., New Brunswick was arrested at Mountain & Westervelt Ave. during a motor vehicle stop for possession of marijuana.

Tue 21 Mar 5:01 PM.   An unlocked vehicle was burglarized at 205 Jefferson Ave.  A purse with identification was stolen.

Tue 21 Mar 11:26 PM. A male 19 of 134 Greenbrook Rd. was arrested at Rock Av & Warfield Rd. during a bicycle stop for possession of marijuana.

Wed 22 Mar 1:00 AM.  A female 35 of 208 S. Plainfield Ave., S. Plfd. was arrested at Mountain Ave. & Somerset St. for obstruction when she refused to give her identification to the police who were investigating a domestic violence report.

Wed 22 Mar 10:00 PM.  A female 29 of 1663 Division Ave., Piscataway was arrested on Chatham St. for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Thur 23 Mar 6:59 PM.  A female 43 of 534 W 4th. St, Plfd was arrested at Washington Ave. & the boro line for possession of a hypodermic syringe.

Fri 24 Mar 12:00 AM.  2 young black males walked into the Hunan Royal Restaurant, 88 Watchung Ave., and stole the tip jar, then fled in an unknown direction.

Fri 24 Mar 6:01 AM.  A resident of Watchung Ave. reported someone smashed the left front window of his vehicle and stole his wallet.

Fri 24 Mar 6:46 AM.  A resident of 96 Belmont Ave. reported the left front window on his vehicle had been smashed and her purse was stolen.

Fri 24 Mar 1:15 PM.  A male 26 of 16 Van Buren St., Passaic was arrested at Costco for attempting to use a fraudulent credit card to open a membership.

Fri 24 Mar 2:45 PM.  A resident reported their home had been burglarized between 3/22 & 3/24. Items totaling $3,000.00 were stolen.  No point of entry or address listed in the police report.

Sat 25 Mar 12:00 AM.  A resident of Grove St. reported their unlocked vehicle was burglarized. Property totaling $40.00 was stolen.

Sat 25 Mar 2:15 AM.  Pearl St. the victim reported his vehicle was stolen then returned by a patron of the Bridge Tavern who then assaulted the victim then stole an iPhone from the victim’s girlfriend. No suspects were located at the time of the report.

Sat 25 Mar 7:00 AM.  A burglary to a residence in the area of Greenbrook Rd. & Hawthorne Pl. was reported. Forced entry was used but no point of entry is listed.

Sat 25 Mar 7:00 AM.  A burglary to a locked vehicle in the area of Grove St & Linden Ave. was reported. Items totaling $240.00 were stolen.

Sun 26 Mar 12:00 AM.  A resident of 301 Maple Ave. reported someone broke the mirror off of her vehicle.

Sun 26 Mar 12:00 AM.  The victim reports someone broke the rear window of his Fiat 500 while it was parked at Costco, 1288 Rt 22 E.

Sun 26 Mar 5:31 AM.  A burglary to a vehicle was reported burglarized on West End Ave.  No address in report.  The vehicle sustained $200.00 in damage and a purse was stolen.

Fri 19 Mar 11:57  A male 40 of 114 S 14th St., Newark & a male 41 of 96 Paraell Ct., NC were arrested at Norwood Ave. & Tate Ct., Plfd. for an armed robbery that took place at Race St & Watchung Ave. One of the items stolen from the victim was an iPhone with a “find my cell phone” app. The police were able to locate and arrest the robbers using this iPphone feature.

Fri 19 Mar 10:05 AM.   A vehicle was burglarized at 264 Manning Ave. between 12:30 & 10:00 AM. The left front window was smashed. The vehicle was parked on the street

Fri 19 Mar 1:00 PM.   An unlocked vehicle at 10 Rockview Terr. was burglarized.

Tues 14 Mar 8:00 AM.  A resident of Duer St. reported 3 tires on her vehicle were slashed.

Mon 13 Mar 9:16 AM.  A resident of  Regency Village, 401 Rt. 22 W, reported some burglarized his vehicle between 3/11 & 3/13. Stolen was an ignition lock switch & a remote to the snow plow on the vehicle. The total value of the items stolen is $550.00.

Thur 11 Mar 12:00 AM.  The victim reports he cashed a check in the amount of $2,478.41 for a female acquaintance who said she would give him $1,000.00 for cashing the check. The female said 2 males would give him the check at Bank of America, 535 Somerset St. The 2 males drove the victim from the bank at which time the victim asked for his $1,000.00. One of the males pointed a gun at the victim, stole his phone and all of the cash he had on his person and fled the scene. 

Thur 9 Mar 12:00 AM.  A burglary was reported at 146-A Duer St. A gold chain, 5 watches & $250.00 were stolen.  No point of entry listed in the report.

Wed 8 Mar 7:00 PM.   Several residents in the area of Azalea Ct. & Rockview Ave. reported their vehicles had been broken into. This took place between 7:00 & 9:00 PM.

Wed 8 Mar 9:00 PM.   A vehicle was stolen from Rockview Ave. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were in the vehicle. No address in report.

Thur 9 Mar 12:00 AM.   A vehicle was burglarized on Rockview Ave. No address in report.

Thur 9 Mar 12:19 PM.   Playstations & remote controllers were shoplifted from Costco. Total value $110.00.

Fri 10 Mar 8:00 AM.   An unlocked vehicle was burglarized on Rockview Ave. No address in report.

Tues 7 Mar 2:09 PM.  A resident of Maple Ave. reported his social security number was being used illegally for employment by someone.

Sun 5 Mar 7:00 AM.  The victim reported someone burglarized his vehicle by smashing a front passenger window. Stolen was a wallet with credit cards. This took place between 11:45 PM on 3/4/17 and 7:00 AM 3/5/17.

Sun 5 Mar 8:30 AM.  A resident of 6 Coddington Ave. reports someone stole her 2000 Ford Econo Van valued at $5,000.00. The van had $2,500.00 worth of tools in it. This took place between 3/4/17 10:30 PM & 8:30 AM 3/5/17.

Sun 5 Mar 12: 14 PM.  A vehicle at Duer St. & Park Pl. was burglarized. $300.00 was stolen and $200.00 of damage was done to the vehicle.

Sun 5 Mar 2:00 PM.  A resident reported a vehicle parked in front of 582 Warfield Rd. was burglarized. The interior of the vehicle was ransacked. The only items stolen were the registration and insurance card.

Wed 3 Mar 12:00 AM.  A resident of Albert St. reported his unregistered vehicle was stolen from the residence.

Thur 2 Mar 7:30 AM.   A locked vehicle was reported burglarized in the area of Rockview & Washington Ave. Items valued at about $50.00 were stolen.

Thur 2 MAR 10:31 AM.   A male 20 of 139 Westervelt Ave. was arrested for burglary to a vehicle at 1275 Rock Ave. The police received a report of a suspicious male at 1300 Rock Ave. This male matched the description of the male that burglarized the vehicle.

Wed 1 MAR 5:00 AM.   An unlocked vehicle was burglarized in the area of Cedar St. & Harrison Ave. $4.00 was stolen.

Wed 1 MAR 8:00.   A burglary to a vacant house in the area of Grove St. & Prospect Pl. was reported. About $1,430.00 worth of items were stolen.

Wed 1 MAR 7:05 PM.  A victim reports he was walking on Duer St. at Gavin Pl. when 2 black males attacked him, throwing him to the ground and punching him. The victim’s wallet was stolen. The wallet was later found with $50.00 missing.

Sat 13 Mar 6:39 PM.  A female, 43, of 201 Rock Ave., Plfd. was arrested at Grove St. & Rockview Ave.,during a motor vehicle stop for an active warrant.

Sun 14 Mar 9:58 PM.   A male 19 of 117 Crescent Ave., Plfd. was arrested at Somerset St. & the boro line during a motor vehicle violation for possession of marijuana.

Wed 17 Mar 12:00 AM.  A resident of 3 Myrtle Ave. received pictures of his family members via text followed by pictures of mutilated bodies and a demand for money.

Thur 18 Mar 11:17PM.   A male 45 of 511 Plainfield Ave., Plfd. was arrested at Summit Ave. & Watchung Ave. during a motor vehicle stop on a $500.00 warrant out of Union County.

Thur 18 Mar 12:00 AM.   The owner of Amazing Taste, 918 Rt. 22 E., received 3 phone calls from an unknown person stating he was coming to the business to assault the owner.

Fri 19 Mar 5:27 PM.   A male 29 of 743 Carlton Ave., Plfd. was arrested at Clinton Liquors, 64 Watchung  Ave., for assaulting an employee and damaging merchandise.

Sun 12 Mar 4:05 AM.   A male 25 of 719 S. 2nd. St., Plfd. was arrested at 1275 Rock Ave. when he gave false identification to the police that were called to investigate a fight.

Sat 4 Mar 12:00 AM.  Two males entered CVS Pharmacy, 780 Rt. 22 E, and shoplifted 99 packs of chewing gum with a value of $337.29. They fled the store when approached by the manager.

Sat 4 Mar 1:15 AM.  A male 47 of 225 E Grand Ave., Rahway was arrested on a $1,250.00 NP warrant.

Sat 4 Mar 2:18 AM.   A male 33 of 30 Lincoln Pl. was arrested at Quick Chek, 395 Somerset St., on warrants totaling $1,000.00.

Sat 4 Mar 9:58 PM.  A male 24 of 507 Conant St. Hillside was arrested at Howard Johnson’s, 1025 Rt. 22 W, for possession of marijuana.

Sat 4 Mar 10:49 PM.  A female 20 of 67 Central Ave., Somerville was arrested at 1165 Rt. 22 W. by plain clothes officers who smelled smoke that appeared to be coming from burning marijuana.

Mon 6 Mar 9:41 PM.   A male 19 of 17 Wilson Ave. was arrested at Craig Pl. & Duer St. during a motor vehicle stop for possession of marijuana.

Mon 6 Mar 10:50 PM.  A female 29 of 402 Sheets St., Bethlehem, PA, was arrested at Manning Ave & Somerset St during a motor vehicle stop for multiple active warrants. She was turned over to the Union County Sheriffs’ Dept.

Sat 25 Feb 6:34 PM.   A female of 301 Maple Ave. was arrested for harassment. She made statements to her father during a domestic violence dispute.

Sat Feb 25 8:05 PM.   A report of a male shoplifting from CVS Pharmacy, 780 Rt. 22 E, was made by a store employee. Packages of cosmetic products were stolen.

Sun 26 Feb 2:45 AM.   A burglary to a vehicle at 542 Warfield Rd. was reported.

Sun 26 Feb MAR 8:49 AM.   A burglary to a vehicle at 571 Warfield Rd. was reported. Nothing was stolen from the vehicle.

Sun 26 Feb 8:49 PM.   A male 32 was arrested in his room at Howard Johnsons, 1025 Rt 22 W., for active warrants. While being searched incidental to arrest he was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Thur 2 Feb 11:00 AM.   The manager of Costco 1290 Rt 22 E, reported $349.93 worth of Gillette Proglide razors were shoplifted.

Thur 2 Feb 4:37 PM. A female resident reported someone had fraudulently taken her Facebook photos and phone number then opened accounts on two personal websites.

Fri 3 Feb 6:40 AM.   A report of the theft of a wheel from a vehicle was reported in the area of Washington & Willow Ave.

Sun 19 Feb 3:47 AM.   A male 23 of 17 Myrtle Ave. was arrested at home for Aggravated Assault after stabbing a person in the face with a broken bottle.

Sun 19 Feb 11:02 AM.   A 2016 BMW parked in the rear lot of 29 Craig Pl was damaged. The rear window was smashed.

Sun 19 Feb 12:18 PM.   A resident of 95 Mercer Ave. reported their vehicle was burglarized. The vehicle sustained about $700.00 of damage.

Sun 19 Feb 8:55 PM.   A male 31 of 548 Hunter Ave., Scotch Plains was arrested at Grove St. & the boro line, on a $905.00 warrant, after being recognized as a wanted person.

Mon 20 Feb 12:43 AM.   Criminal mischief was reported to a vehicle parked at Linden Av & Steiner Pl.

Wed 22 Feb 1:47 PM.  A stolen vehicle was recovered in the parking lot of the apartment complex at 351 North Dr.

Wed 22 Feb 5:54 PM.  A male 19 of 56 Sycamore Ave. was arrested at Myrtle Av & Willow Av for receiving stolen property. He was in possession of a stolen bicycle.

Thur 23 Feb 7:00 AM.  A burglary to an unlocked vehicle was reported at Chestnut St & Harrison Ave.

Fri 24 Feb 9:19 PM.   A resident of 16 Linden Ave. reports being harassed by an unknown person throwing objects onto a driveway. The victim said she was receiving harassing phone calls from an unknown phone number.

Fri 24 Feb 10:28 PM.   The residents of 16 Linden Ave. reported damage to their vehicles. One vehicle had scratches on various areas the other vehicle had the word “Hel” written on a passenger side window.

Sat 25 Feb 12:44 AM.  The victim reports his cell phone, a silver Samsung Galaxy S, was stolen while he was at a party at 20 Somerset Pl.

Sat 25 Feb 8:16 AM.   A male 34 of 511 W 3rd St., Plfd. was arrested at Washington Ave. & the boro line for a warrant out of Piscataway and for being in possession of cocaine. He was originally stopped for J-walking.

Sat 25 Feb 1:30 PM.  A resident of 288 Duer St. reported her vehicle had been burglarized. $20.00 in change was stolen.

Sun 19 Feb 12:09 AM.  A resident of 225 N. Jackson Ave reported her vehicle was on fire. The NP Fire Dept. responded and extinguished the fire.

Sat 18 Feb 3:00 AM.  A male 19 of 15 Franklin Ct., Somerset was arrested at Brook Ave & Norwood Ave for eluding when he tried to flee form the police during a motor vehicle stop.

Sat 18 Feb 7:32 AM.  A resident of 40 Chestnut St. reported her vehicle was burglarized. Stolen was a Michael Kors purse valued at $100.00. There was about $200.00 worth of damage done to the vehicle.

Sat 18 Feb 8:31 AM.  A resident of 35 Summit Ave reported there was an attempt made to burglarize their garage.

Sat 18 Feb 11:18 AM.  The resident of 96 Fairview Ave reported he observed someone smash the rear door glass pane on his house. Estimated damage $500.00.

Sat 18 Feb 5:47 PM.  A victim reports he ordered and paid $3,000.00 for a trailer he thought he was buying on eBay. He later found that it was fictitious web site. No trailer was delivered.

Sat 18 Feb 9:00 PM.  $2,000.00 worth of criminal mischief was reported to a vehicle parked at Fairview Ave & Westervelt Ave. The victim gave the name of a possible suspect.

Sat 18 Feb 9:07 PM.  A male 30 of 283 Duer St. was arrested at Park Pl & Vine St. during a motor vehicle stop for possession of a hypodermic syringe. A female companion was also arrested.

Sat 18 Feb 12:00 AM.  A male 34 of 54 Grove St. was arrested at Duer St. & the boro line for obstruction when he tried to flee from the police on a bicycle.

Fri 17 Feb 10:30 AM.  A resident of 301 Maple Ave. reports $400.00 was stolen from a dining room table. The victim gave the names of 2 suspects to the police.

Fri 17 Feb 10:49 PM.   A resident of 308 Grove St. reports a burglary to their car and to their home while the family was sleeping on the second floor. A purse was stolen from the home. No point of entry mentioned in the report. The incident was captured on a surveillance video.

Thur 16 Feb 12:45 PM.  A resident of 190 West End Ave. reported a burglary to his vehicle that was parked in his driveway. Items worth $219.00  were stolen.

Thur 16 Feb 6:18.   A victim reports someone closed their Wells Fargo credit card account and attempted to open another using a Florida address. The bank cancelled the account.

Mon 13 Feb 1:22 AM.  A female reports she was robbed as she was walking on Duer St.  She was pilled to the ground and per purse and its contents were stolen.

Mon 13 Feb 9:57 PM.   70 Jackson Ave. A female reports she was cut with a box cutter during  dispute by someone she knows.  The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Mon 13 Feb 12:00 AM.  The resident of 181 Columbia Ave. reported his residence had been burglarized. Entry was gained through a rear door. Gold jewelry was stolen from a safe that had been broken into.

Mon 13 Feb 12:58 AM.  The victim of a fight at Tesoros Restaurant, 64 Somerset St., was treated at JFK Hospital for a cut to his lip.

No time or date on the report.  A resident of 401 Rt. 22 E reported someone used her identification to open an account with Xfinity. She received a bill for $135.92

Sun 12 Feb 11:00 AM.   A resident of Westervelt Av reported her vehicle was burglarized overnight.

Sun 12 Feb 2:00 AM.  A patron of the Mi Mundo Latino Bar, 375 Somerset St., reported someone stole his vehicle while he was in the bar.

Sat 11 Feb 9:09 AM.  A male 28 of 196 N. Maple Ave., East Orange was arrested during a motor vehicle violation for possession of marijuana.

Sat 11 Feb 4:01 PM.   A burglary to a garage at 110 Park Pl. was reported. An attempt to take an air compressor and a weed-wacker. Both articles were left outside the garage.

Sat 11 Feb 7:30 PM.   A male 67 of 301 Maple Ave. was arrested after being stopped for a moving violation at Grove St & Park Pl. for possession of marijuana.

Sat 11 Feb 20:11.   A resident of 132 Westervelt Ave. reported someone gained entry to their garage by cutting the lock. Nothing was reported stolen.

Sat 11 Feb 9:29 PM.  A resident of 91 Brook Ave. reported a burglary to his vehicle.  Nothing appears to be taken.

Sat 11 Feb 10:16 PM.   A male 26 of 14 Chatham Pl. was arrested after being stopped for being a suspect in a burglary investigation at Chatham Pl. & the boro line for an active S. Plfd. warrant.

Fri 10 Feb 11:29 PM.  A male 39 of 27 Sycamore Ave., Plfd. was arrested, during a motor vehicle stop at 64 Somerset St. on warrants totaling $1,574.00.

Thur 9 Feb 3:39 PM.   A resident of 291 Duer St. reported a package worth $60.00 was stolen from his front porch.

Tue 7 Feb 12:00 AM.   A resident of Pearl St reported someone used their social security number to file a tax return.

Tue 7 Feb 5:38 PM.   A resident of 202 Sanford Ave. reported a Hispanic male stole a package worth $150.00 from the front door steps of the residence.

Tue 7 Feb 9:09 AM.  A male 21 of 728 Greenbrook Rd was arrested on Lawrence Ave. during a suspicious vehicle investigation for an active warrant.  At headquarters he was found to be in possession of marijuana

Wed 25 Jan 8:38 AM.   A male 31 of 130 North Ave., Plfd. was arrested during a motor vehicle stop at Duer St. & the boro line for a $200.00 warrant out of the boro.

Thur 26 Jan 5:41 PM.  A resident of Brook Ave. reported he observed a person open 2 packages that were left at his front entrance. This person took the contents of the packages and let the area. The victim was able to see the incident on his video surveillance system.

Tue 31 Jan 5:43. A male 59 of 1257 Cedar Ave., Mountainside was arrested at 389 Somerset St after stealing a cell phone from Best Wireless.

Wed 1 Feb 8:56 PM. A male 25 of 204 Montrose Ave., So. Plfd. was arrested during a motor vehicle stop at Rt.22 W. at the Watchung Square Mall on an active warrant.

Thur 2 Feb 10:08 AM. The victim reports $1,600.00 worth of items were stolen from a room at Howard Johnson’s during a party.

Fri 3 Feb 10:01 AM.  A female 20 of 124 Livingston Ave., Elizabeth was arrested for a $250.00 warrant during a motor vehicle stop at Graybar Dr. & Mountain Ave.

Fri 3 Feb 6:21 PM. A boro resident received a phone call from an unknown person stating her grandson had been arrested and needed $4,000.00. After initially complying with the request, the family was able to cancel the transaction before the money was received.

Fri 3 Feb 7:20 PM.  A male 21 of 56 Rockview Ave. was arrested at Greenbrook Rd. & Somerset St.during a pedestrian stop on a no bail warrant out of the Somerset County Prosecutors Office.

Sun 5 Feb 2:14 AM.  A male 41 of 592 Mountainview Terr., Middlesex was arrested at Greenbrook Rd. & Somerset St. for DWI. He refused to submit to a breath test.

Wed 25 Jan 1:00 PM.  Someone stole $300.00 in quarters from the air/vac machine at the 76 Gas Station, 675 Somerset St.

    It might be a good idea for anyone intending on drinking and driving to make a point not to drive in North Plainfield,unless of course you do not value your drivers license
